Lower-Cost Ounces from the American Southwest

Tellus Aurum is a Houston-based gold exploration and mining company holding acreage across Nevada and Arizona. We apply innovative solutions to reduce the cost of extracting gold — so more of every deposit becomes economic.

Why Tellus Aurum

Finding gold is hard. Producing it cheaply is harder.

01 Cost is the real orebody

Every dollar taken out of the cost per ounce converts marginal rock into ore. We treat extraction cost as the primary engineering problem — not an afterthought once a resource is defined.

02 The right address

Nevada and Arizona combine world-class gold geology with established mining law, skilled labour, infrastructure and permitting frameworks that a disciplined operator can plan around.

03 Small team, modern tools

Data-led targeting, sensor-based sorting and modular processing let a lean team run a tighter capital cycle than the conventional exploration-to-production playbook allows.

Our Assets

Acreage across Nevada and Arizona

Two of the most productive and best-understood gold jurisdictions in the world — held as contiguous claim blocks and explored on a single, disciplined technical standard.

Nevada

Great Basin

Basin-and-Range terrain hosting the sediment-hosted and epithermal gold systems that made Nevada the highest-producing gold state in the United States.

  • Established mining law and permitting pathways
  • Deep local contractor and labour pool
  • Road, power and water access to claim blocks
  • Extensive historic exploration data to re-interpret

Arizona

Sonoran & Transition Zone

Ground along Arizona's richly mineralised belts, where gold occurs both in its own right and alongside the state's long-established base-metal districts.

  • Year-round field season
  • Mature mining supply chain and services
  • Strong regional processing and logistics options
  • Underexplored gold potential beside known districts

A focused two-state footprint

We hold and evaluate claim blocks across both states, prioritising ground where geology, access and permitting line up — the three things that decide whether a discovery ever becomes a mine.

How We Work

A disciplined path from claim to pour

Each stage has a defined technical and economic test. Ground that fails one does not advance to the next — which is how capital stays pointed at the projects that will pay.

01

Target Generation

Regional geology, historic data, geophysics and geochemistry are compiled into ranked targets before any ground is staked.

02

Acquisition & Access

Claims are staked or acquired, access and surface rights secured, and the permitting pathway mapped from day one.

03

Drilling & Sampling

Phased drill programmes with rigorous QA/QC, independent assay, and full chain of custody on every sample.

04

Resource Modelling

Assays are built into a 3D block model, and grade shells are stress-tested against realistic mining and processing costs.

05

Engineering & Trade-off

Mine plan, sorting, processing route and power are optimised together — the stage where the cost per ounce is actually decided.

06

Development & Production

Build, commission and operate — with reconciliation back to the model and continuous optimisation through mine life.

Responsibility

Cost discipline and good practice are the same discipline

Using less rock, less water and less energy per ounce is simultaneously the cheapest way and the cleanest way to mine. We do not treat them as competing objectives.

Land

Small disturbance footprints, progressive rehabilitation, and closure designed into the mine plan rather than bolted on at the end.

Water

Arid-region operations demand it: closed-circuit water use, high recycle rates, and monitoring against agreed baselines.

Communities

Local hiring and local supply where we operate, with early and continuing engagement with landowners and neighbouring communities.

Compliance

Federal, state and county obligations tracked as a live register — permits, reporting and bonding kept current at every stage.
